Introduction the Dredger Machines

The dredger machine is a truck which provided with tank, vacuum pump, and a number of accessories. The machine’s vacuum pump is designed to draw liquids, sludge, slurry or similar examples from a place (often in the basement) into the truck tank. The main purpose of use of a dredger machine is to facilitate the transfer of liquid material by road to another place. Dredger machines transport the collected material to a treatment or disposal site, for example to a wastewater treatment plant.

Vacuum pump

Liquid ring, vane and blower pumps are typically used to build dredger machines. There are other types of vacuum pumps, such as diaphragm pumps, that are less common.

Power Transfer System

Depending on the type of selected pump, different methods can be used to supply the required power to the pump. The most common methods are to utilize a PTO (Gearbox Side) and use a separated diesel.

Suction Hoses

Hoses with a diameter of 2 to 6 inches are used to suck different materials. Suction length depends on various factors, mainly related to the type of material, depth or height of the material, the size of the hose diameter, the type of pump, and so on.

Evacuation on Tank

Normally a tanker is evacuated by gravity. For this purpose, the tank of the machine is mounted on the chassis with a suitable slope so that the evacuation operation can be executed with the help of this slope.

Other mechanisms can be used to increase the evacuation speed. One of these mechanisms is the utilization of hydraulic (or pneumatic) jacks. Another method is to use positive air pressure. The evacuation time depends on the density of the sludge, the size of the outlet valve and hose, and the amount of the sludge.

Dredger machines have a variety of applications. The main uses of these vacuum loaders are municipalities and industrial factories.
